Wouldn't that be a sight? Not to worry, there will be plenty waiting for you when you do make your way back.
Better that you stay put, then. Snow is certainly picturesque, but not ideal for traveling. At the height of my powers, I would have been able to provide you a portal, but I'm afraid that's a bit out of my depth these days.
it's alright, it's alright! i wouldn't want to put you out anyway
and it's not so bad when we've got these shellphones kind of wish we could bring them back home with us they're handy and i've got a lot of real good pictures on here
They are rather useful, aren't they? More flexible than sending stones, more reliable than some projections, though it pains me to say it. The ability to take instant pictures has the potential to be endlessly helpful for research purposes, but I confess, I have mostly used it to take pictures of Tara and Footloose...
( that makes karlach laugh, loud and uproariously. her own shellphone is filled with a wide variety of photos, but the members of their household were her favourite targets to capture. both the cats and the wizard. )
HAHAHA
( attached is a photo of tara resting in the sunlight on the porch. )
is it meant for anything else?
( she sends a few more photos, each one focused on either footloose, tara, or the both of them. typically resting or outstretched comfortably somewhere in the house. however, another photo had been accidentally selected along with the several cat photos. the second to last one happens to be a photograph of gale himself, caught in a soft moment of affectionately petting and making eyes at the cats. )
It is a truth universally acknowledged that a phone with a functioning camera must be in want of pictures of cats. So I've been lead to believe, at any rate.
[They're absolutely on the same page there. That first photo she sends causes another smile to tug at his lips, and he starts picking out a few of his own to share. Her next batch comes in while he's doing so, and once he sends her several of his own pictures of their four-legged friends making the house their own, he proceeds to sort through her offerings, that second to last one giving him but a moment's pause.]
You're an excellent photographer. I hadn't even realized this picture had been taken.
I'd say you've developed quite an eye! Good instinct, as well, to be so quick. I admit, I perhaps spend a bit too long trying to ensure things are just right and in doing so, may often miss the best opportunities.
[For... photos. Certainly nothing else.]
You should send me others when you take them, I would love to see the islands through your eyes.
Guilty as charged, I'm afraid. Good thing I have you to encourage me to look beyond, hm?
I really haven't been out nearly as much as I ought to, lately. No doubt you've come across all sorts of thrilling sights without me. I look forward to your expert guidance.
Their beauty is unparalleled, and they tell tales older than the worlds they shine down upon. That so many cultures seek to give them significance and meaning in their own right allows those people to preserve their own histories by trusting the stars to tell their stories for generations to come.

been sent out on manta requests more than enough times to take pictures of cats
( clearly the need for cat pictures is something that transcends all. karlach would bet all of her coin that even lae'zel would be won over by them. )
i've been getting the hang of it since!
photography is about being quick, magic man
if you wait you might miss your shot

but it's also very gale-like. looking up instead of forward. )
not just saying that because you can see them from the window, are you?
how about this
what do you like better: swimming or laying in the grass?

[He has to pause before he continues his message, giving her message due consideration.]
Though I enjoy both, I would suppose I prefer laying in the grass, especially if it's picnic-adjacent.

it was one of the things i missed most while in the hells
lush grass and verdant trees
bright flowers
love the sea
but it doesn't have the same bang as the grass

[He means that!]
If I have anything to say about it, you'll never have to miss it again.
