So if I were to, theoretically, sit for a painting, do you think it could do me justice?

I suppose that depends on the skill of the painter. I find many paintings lack the spirit of the subject, which is much of what makes a person attractive, but physically, I do believe you could be captured, yes.

Me? What, to give instructions like 'make his mouth more mocking' or 'his brow should be more arrogant?'

Absolutely. When were you thinking?

[ He's grateful this is text and Gale can't hear the frustration that would otherwise be in his voice. This is a huge step for him, and he's not entirely certain he wants to take it. Xenk would be too overbearingly positive, and Fenris would be too quiet with his approval. He trusts Gale to have a discerning and honest eye with this. ]

In all seriousness, I'm flattered you trust me with such an undertaking. What brought all this about, anyway? Getting a portrait done, that is.

It certainly would accomplish that, wouldn't it? Even more important, then, that I ensure the painter's accuracy.

Nothing that can't be set aside for later. What's on your mind?

I bought a house. A rather big one, actually! With lots of space inside of it.

Is that so? I can't say I expected this conversation to be about real estate! Congratulations are certainly in order.

It would be a shame for all that space to go to waste...and it has a nice kitchen I can't use.

If that's an invitation, I would be happy to come make use of it from time to time. These apartments suit well enough, but they're a touch cramped, and their kitchen space is rather lacking.

For such a smart man you can be dense at times! I'm asking you to come live with me. I got used to the sound of your snoring, I guess.

It isn't a big deal. It's a very large house, and without many people in it it feels awfully empty.

I admit to being surprised, but I see no reason not to take you up on it. [Aside from the vague awkwardness between them. It's fine!] It would appear we've come a long way from camping out in the wilderness.

We have. It's nice, isn't it? Much better than worrying about getting all covered in dirt and leaves.
