As much as it's important to be cautious using these worms, they do make things a little easier in some situations.
Ten years of practice sure helps, although, it's not so hard now that it's not just my brother and I. I'm not the one carrying all of the non-magic weight. This is just the second adventure out of necessity. And here I thought I'd get more than two years to relax and try to learn more about who I am as a person. Alas.
Regardless, if you happen to hit a sour note with your commentary with me, I will openly admit that I'm quick to forgive. Life's too short to hold grudges over small things. And with this pressure and the life we lead, we don't know how short or long that's going to be.
[Hopefully, if she does turn into a mindflayer, it's still burdened with the debt she's already accrued on her lifespan. A mindflayer that doesn't live as long as has less time to hurt others.]
But I take my job as a guard dog very seriously, I promise.
