I almost didn't, know you. I usually don't make a habit out of walking up to bizarre malfunctioning magical portals. Curiosity got the better of me that day.
I'm sure we would have. Though with you locked away in your tower like some fairytale princess and me traveling across Faerûn, I can't picture how our paths would have crossed otherwise. Not saying I'm glad to have been spirited away to have a mind flayer tadpole ed in my head but... it changed our fated course.
Consider me eternally grateful to your sense of curiosity, then. My life is forever changed for it. I shudder to think what may have become of me otherwise.
When this is all over, do you think you'll return to traveling as you did before?

When this is all over I do plan on picking up where I left off. Unlike you and the others, I have no place I can call home. And there is something I must do before I can think about settling down.

Same can be said about myself, but I intentionally burnt the bridges to my old life. I will not return to living in the dark. There's nothing left for me in the Underdark. Well... almost.

Of course I would love to have you along with me. Your absence would leave a wizard sized hole in my life. But are you sure? Dropping everything for me without even knowing what you're signing yourself up for? Not that its some huge secret! With all the possible world ending dilemmas, my problem seems to be the least urgent.

Is it too much to say that I trust your judgement? In truth, I have my own search for a new path to consider... your influence has been a positive one so far. Whether you realize it or not, I feel that your companionship has helped me to make decisions that the Gale of several months back never would have dreamed of. Perhaps that trend will continue if I travel with you a bit longer.
